Mozel Watson

Mozel Watson has spent over two decades working across every level of the wine industry — from retail and hospitality to education, consulting, and importing. Based in Harlem, New York, Mozel built WineGod Consulting LLC to challenge outdated norms and expand what the wine industry looks like, sounds like, and represents.

Mozel Watson’s journey in wine began at 67 Wine & Spirits, where he started as a stock and delivery associate. Working behind the scenes in the shipping department, he developed an early appreciation for the logistics, movement, and real mechanics of the wine business — and it was there that his love for wine truly took root.

From that foundation, Mozel worked his way onto the sales floor and into leadership roles across wine retail, beverage program development, staff training, and hospitality management. Over the years, he has built wine lists, trained teams, managed inventories, educated consumers, and guided thousands of guests through meaningful wine experiences.

This hands-on path shaped a deep understanding of wine — not just in the glass, but on the floor, on the balance sheet, and in real-world hospitality environments.

Winegod Consulting  was not created to fit into the wine industry — it was created to move it forward.

Mozel believes exceptional wine exists far beyond traditional gatekeepers. His mission is to spotlight producers from unexpected places, underrepresented backgrounds, and non-traditional paths, while making wine more accessible through education, context, and culture.
